National Relaxation Day: A Softer Kind of Self-Care

National Relaxation Day is basically July's Self-Care Day with less pressure, and we thought it was worth marking. A gentler callback for anyone who missed the first one, and a soft nudge for anyone who caught it and might like to try it again.

The spectrum still applies. Some evenings you are pink Kirby, strawberry Pocky, a face roller on the desk. Some evenings you are a lavender Switch, Do Not Disturb, a star patch tucked under your eye. Some evenings you are blue matcha, a MacBook, a small succulent that keeps outliving your intentions. None of them are wrong, and there is no right one for tonight.

A small note while we are here. Sleep research has found that people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer when their hands and feet stay warm, because the body reads warm extremities as a cue to let go. Which is why so much of a soft evening ends up centered around them, whether you realized it or not.

If you want a shorter checklist, ours has narrowed to five things. A shower hotter than you think you need. Something small to do with your hands. A warm drink with no rules. Lights lower than they have been all day. Snugs on, if you have them.

That is the whole list. Nothing to earn, nothing to complete.

The Cozy Universe is still at 10% off for the community, if a soft evening turns into a small treat.
